DDOS Attack Affecting Services in Mumbai DC

02-06-2026

Service Advisory — Network Event at Mumbai Data Center

We want to keep you informed about an ongoing network event affecting our infrastructure at the Mumbai data center, and the steps we have taken to protect your services.

What is happening

We have observed distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks targeting multiple IP address ranges across our network, including direct attacks against network gateways. The pattern indicates this is a coordinated, targeted attack rather than isolated opportunistic traffic.

What we have done

To detect and contain these attacks more effectively, we have:

  • Strengthened upstream detection with our transit and DDoS protection provider by refining attack-detection rules, so malicious traffic is identified and mitigated earlier in the path.
  • Enhanced our own automated detection and mitigation systems, so attacks are caught sooner and affected ranges are automatically diverted through international scrubbing infrastructure for cleaning before traffic is returned to your services.

What you may notice

Ranges already under active protection are unaffected except for slightly increased latency. However, if a new range comes under attack before protection is active, you may experience a brief disruption — typically 1 to 3 minutes — while automated mitigation engages. Service should restore automatically once mitigation is active.

What you need to do

No action is required on your part. Our team is actively monitoring the situation and will continue to tune protections as needed.

If you experience any service impact beyond the brief disruption described above, please raise a support ticket or contact us at nettigritty@nettigritty.com so our team can investigate promptly.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to keep your services secure and available.

— Team Nettigritty
