CPANEL35 - Service Outage

10PM: Linux Server CPANEL35 rebooted for regular updates which typically takes a few minutes. However, the server unfortunately did not come up for quite some time. On checking the console, server appeared to be running disk checks which took quite long and post that it is repeatedly going into emergency mode. Team is actively working on this issue and all efforts are being made to bring the server and services back online. We sincerely regret the inconvenience and will update once it is fixed.

12:20AM After a lot of troubleshooting and attempts to boot with various kernel options, disks are being moved to a new server altogether. This will help rule out any issues with other hardware on the present server and we will continue to troubleshoot the issue once disks are moved.

2AM Issue was resolved and sites and services are back up. One of the disks was faulting and preventing normal boot. That has been removed from disk array and it is stable now. We will however consider replacing this server entirely in the coming days to avoid any other issues with the same.

Once again, the issue is sincerely regretted and we apologize for the inconvenience caused.
