Anti Spam

We have switched over to the zen.spamhaus.org RBL service from using only SBL and XBL on all our servers. Zen also includes the PBL blacklist which rejects mail from any sender that should not be directly relaying to SMTP servers. That is normally done only by viruses and spammers. We are certain this will help reduce incoming spam by a significant amount and also make mail processing faster as the amount of spam and viruses to be scanned gets reduced at the RBL level itself.

New Server - Smartermail

A new Dual Xeon 3.2Ghz | 4GB RAM Windows 2003 Server was added to the windows servers. The server comes with Plesk 7.6.1, Sitebuilder 3.2 and Smartermail Professional Edition which brings IMAP access to windows servers and a far richer webmail experience. Smartermail also allows better spam and antivirus filtering on windows. The server comes with the standard set of components we offer on our shared Windows 2003 servers and also features ASP.net versions 1.1 and 2 which you can select from your control panel.
